The Czech writer Lukacs Lahotan called on the European Union to put an end to the aggressive practices and policies of the Turkish regime led by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, warning that the lack of action to stop Erdogan’s expansionist moves will lead Europe to an “embarrassing situation.”
In an article on the website of the Reflex magazine , Lahotan said that Erdogan’s policies are very similar to the policies of the Nazi regime in Germany led by Adolf Hitler in the 1930s, which led to the outbreak of the Second World War, indicating that the West has not learned from history, therefore it is still making concessions to Erdogan’s dictatorial regime.
Lahotan criticized the European Union’s failure to protect the legitimate rights of its member states, such as Greece and Cyprus, noting that this regime has been carrying out violations and breaches towards these two countries for a long time. Instead of taking measures against it, the EU is providing billions to the Turkish regime under the pretext of stopping the flow of migrants, while Germany continues sending weapons to Turkey, which uses it for operations of expansion and aggression.
