Talented artists hold collective exhibition in Damascus

Abou Rummana Cultural center in Damascus is currently holding a collective exhibition in its fifth edition by a group of artists. 

The artists display various work deals with several topics, including displacement and features of children and women. 

The works are made using different techniques such as: oil colors paintings, burning on wood and sculpture and other arts.

Plastic artist Basima Al-Hariri participated in the exhibition with six oil paintings inspired by the realistic school .The paintings embody the seasons in different ways using bright oil colors that reflect the beauty of each season.

Basima told the Syria Times (e-news): “I like to participate in this exhibition because it shows various artsMy works in the exhibition reflect happiness and joy . I draw the nature because for me it is a source of optimism, I draw what I feel.” 

Abdel Karim Ramadan is another participant, who displays eight portaits paintings. His works show displacement and homelessness.

He draws various faces to express and concentrate on the features of the elderly and children. 

Through the concentration on the features of displaced children and the elderly,  the artist express his idea by using pencil to show his portraits.

On her part, artist Zoya Karmouka, shows two ceramics works. She believes that making sculptures from ceramics could be a source of joy and happiness because ceramic is made from natural materials as water and fire. 

Zoya sees that her participation in this collective exhibition provides her with experience.

Moreover, the two calligraphy paintings of artist Nariman Hammami depict the beauty of the Arabic letter and her third oil painting work represents the beauty of females in general. 

The exhibition is highly welcomed by the audiences who expressed their admiration for such activitieswhich include paintings of nature, Damascene districts, handicrafts, sculptures, printing on wood, ceramics and other arts reflecting the talents of the artists.
