Corona virus kills more than one million and 85 thousand people around the world

Capitals, (ST) –  The new Corona virus has killed more than one million and 85 thousand people around the world since its appearance last December, according to the American Worldo meter website.

The site stated that, the total number of Coronavirus cases around the world reached 38053748, while the total deaths reached 1085558, and 28610485 people recovered.

In India, the Ministry of Health announced the registration of 55,342 new infections in the past twenty-four hours, bringing the total to 18.7 million, the lowest daily increase since mid-August, while deaths increased by 706 to 109,856.

In Germany, data from the Robert Koch Institute for Infectious Diseases showed an increase in confirmed cases of the virus by 4122 to 329,453, and the number of deaths increased by 13 to reach 9,634.

In the Czech Republic, the head of the Central Crisis Cell, Interior Minister Jan Hamacek described the situation in the country in the field of the spread of the Corona epidemic as tragic, warning that in the event that the current developments do not stop, the country will stand on the brink of collapse.

The number of infections in the Czech Republic has so far reached 61,522, while the number of deaths for the first time exceeded the 1,000 mark, after 58 deaths were recorded yesterday, which brings the number to 1045 deaths.
