Athens (ST): The Greek government has affirmed that the Turkish regime lacks credibility and transparency as it always seeks to aggravate tension in the region.
Reuters quoted the spokesman of the Greek Government as saying that those who believed the statements made by the Turkish officials during the EU summit which was held on the first and 2nd of October were mistaken, demanding that the EU impose sanctions on Ankara because of its provocative acts in the Mediterranean.
Earlier, the Greek Foreign Ministry had described Ankara’s decision to send a ship to the Greek territorial waters as a direct threat to the regional and international peace.
Seven EU states overlooking the Mediterranean had affirmed readiness to support the imposition of sanctions on Turkey if it does not stop its provocative practices in the Mediterranean.
