Prague, (ST) – The Czech university professor, Professor Ivo Podil, affirmed that the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which supports and uses terrorists in Syria to achieve its political goals and launches attacks and military interventions in many countries, constitutes a direct threat to security in Europe.
In an interview with Parliamentary Papers website, Paudel explained that despite all the practices of this regime and its use of terrorists to achieve its political objectives and its illegal military interventions in Syria, Libya, northern Cyprus, the Aegean Sea and the Caucasus, the European Union has so far refrained from imposing sanctions on it. Also the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has not raised its voice to question Turkey’s membership in the alliance.
Podil said that, the Turkish regime’s endeavor to revive the Ottoman Empire is strongly linked to Europe’s weakness and the decline of American influence, referring to the fact that Turkey has always been subservient to the West.
