European Parliamentarian: The Turkish regime is behind the escalation between Azerbaijan and Armenia
The Slovak MP in the European Parliament, Vladimir Bilicik, confirmed that the Turkish regime is behind the escalation between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the Nagorno Karabakh region, stressing that the time has come for the European Union to set clear red lines for this regime.
In a statement to the Slovak News Agency, Bilicik said that the European Union has many political and economic means to influence Turkey’s behavior, and should be used firmly. He stressed that Turkey does not have any opportunity to soon become a member of the European Union, and therefore cooperation with it should be limited to issues as specific as trade and immigration.
For his part, the Slovak political analyst Eduard Khmelar criticized the European Union’s silence on what the Turkish regime is doing, pointing out that in addition to its transfer of terrorists from Syria to Nagorny Karabakh, it seriously threatens the sovereignty of Greece and Cyprus while its intelligence services carry out hostile actions against Austria. The Turkish regime is not faced with a strong response by the union.
In a position published on his Facebook page, Khmelar confirmed that the Turkish regime represents the greatest threat to the Middle East and Europe , pointing out that this regime is carrying out aggression against all neighboring countries, starting with Syria, Iraq, Armenia, Libya, and ending with Cyprus and Greece.
