A protest rejecting the Israeli occupation’s crimes against Palestinian prisoners

On October 11, dozens of Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip organized a protest in rejection of the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian prisoners in its detention centers, and in solidarity with the prisoner on a hunger strike Maher al-Akhras.

According to Ma’an News Agency, the participants in the stand took position in front of the Red Cross headquarters in Gaza and affirmed their solidarity with the prisoners in the Israeli detention camps , especially prisoner al-Akhras who has been on hunger strike for 77 days.

The protesters called on the Red Cross, human rights institutions and international organizations to urgently intervene to release him and save his life and all prisoners in the occupation detention camps.

About 4,500 Palestinian prisoners inside the Israeli occupation prisons face harsh conditions of detention, as 1,800 of them suffer from multiple diseases due to the spread of epidemics and germs, and among them about 700 prisoners need urgent treatment, especially cases of cancer, kidney failure and paraplegia.
