The Lebanese Ministry of Interior decides to close 169 villages and towns due to the Corona outbreak

 On October 11, the Lebanese Ministry of Interior and Municipalities decided to close 169 villages and towns in many Lebanese regions due to the spread of the Coronavirus in them and the high number of recorded infections.

The decision issued by the Minister of Interior and Municipalities in the Lebanese caretaker government, Brigadier General Mohamed Fahmy, decided to close these Lebanese villages and regions from October 12 morning until the 19th of this month.

Fahmy also kept the night to morning curfews and requested the closure of nightclubs and bars without exception until further notice.

Fahmy announced at the end of last month the closure of 111 villages and towns until Monday morning.

On October 10, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health recorded 1,388 cases of infection and 11 deaths in Corona within 24 hours.
