The Abkhazian Trading House was recently opened at Dummar central incubator for traditional crafts in Damascus with the aim of displaying Abkhazian products in Syria and exchanging goods within the framework of economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
Head of the chambers of industry and commerce in the Republic of Abkhazia Tamila Mertskulava, who participated in the opening, underscored that Abkhazian trading house will contribute to strengthening joint trade relations, pointing out a Syrian trading house will be opened in Abkhazia.
On his part , Luay Shakou, head of Dummar central incubator stressed in a statement to SANA that Abkhazian trading house will play a key role in the exchange of experience and craft products between the two sides and will contribute to the development of craftsmanship through the exchange of information and external exhibitions and providing the necessary expertise to the trainers at the Dummar incubator, as well as promoting the heritage and handicrafts industries.
Shakou pointed out that there is coordination to open Iraqi and Iranian similar trading houses at Dummar central incubator in the coming stage. This will lead to the development of the Syrian heritage industry by opening new outlets for it and supporting the national economy.
In turn Adnan Tenbjki, Secretary of Dummar central Incubator pointed out that Abkhazia is the first country to open a trading house at the incubator, which is the first gathering of craftsmen and Grand Masters (Shiekhs Al-Kar).
He indicated that Dummar central incubator’s main goals is to teach Syrian handicrafts and heritage professions for job seekers in addition to the children of martyrs and people with disabilities.
For his part, Naji Al-Hadweh , head of the General Union of Syrian Artisans underlined that the incubator is considered a qualification, training and marketing center for all traditional craft products that are among the symbols of the Syrian civilization and will have a great impact on the development and qualification of handicrafts.
He indicated that the products of craftsmen and the rural environment will be marketed in Syrian Provinces through the incubator..
