Spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Saeed Khatibzadeh, affirmed that the Western pressures being exerted against his country is not new and this is in partnership with and all parties that are hostile to Iran.
Khatibzadeh explained in his weekly press conference today that America, which left the dialogue, must acknowledge its mistake, end the economic war on Iran, and return to the nuclear agreement. The European countries must abide by the provisions of Resolution 2231, indicating that it is natural for Iran to defend its right as stipulated in this resolution.
In another context, Khatibzadeh indicated that Tehran is continuing what is happening between Armenia and Azerbaijan, calling for a ceasefire between them as soon as possible to start a comprehensive dialogue.
The situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region witnessed a sudden military escalation more than a week ago, while the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides exchanged accusations about the reasons for this escalation.
