A new national polio vaccination campaign next Sunday

Damascus,(ST)-The Ministry of Health announced that it will launch a national vaccination campaign against polio targeting children from one day to five years old, regardless of previous vaccinations.

The ministry indicated in its announcement, which SANA received a copy of today, that the campaign will be launched on the 11th of this month and will continues until the 15th of it. It will be  is implemented in health centers in various governorates and through mobile teams, while taking all precautionary measures to prevent Coronavirus.

The Ministry confirmed that the vaccine is safe and free, and that the presence of some common symptoms, including colds, diarrhea, and mild fever in the child has no effect on the vaccine.
