Erdogan threatens a new aggression , Davutoglu reveals failure of a plot to invade the country as far as Homs
The President of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, threatened on Saturday to launch an attack against the northern regions in Syria under the pretext of purifying them from what he called “terrorists”. Meanwhile, the head of the Turkish Future Party, Ahmet Davutoglu, admitted that Erdogan has laid down plans to occupy all of northern Syria up to Homs, but the plan failed due to the refusal of Army officers who later turned out to be from Fatehullah Gulen opposition group.
During his online speech on the occasion of the opening of the Reyhanli Dam in the Iskenderun Brigade, Erdogan, whose regime occupies a number of cities, towns and villages in northern Syria, said the promises made to us were not fulfilled, referring to the Kurdish militias deployed in the north and northeast of Syria and controlling large areas there. He stated that“ our effective presence will continue on the ground until stability is achieved on our southern borders with Syria.
Criticizing Washington’s role in support of the Kurds, without directly naming it, Erdogan said that “the parties that remain silent about terrorist organizations and the countries that support them put all moral, legal and human rights principles aside when it comes to Turkey,” adding: We will continue to disturb all parties that are hostile to our country and our people.
In turn, “Russia Today” website quoted Erdogan as saying that he would not accept what he called “a new tragedy in Idlib”, announcing his country’s readiness to remove the terrorists from the remaining terrorist areas there.
Russia and America reached several agreements with the Turkish regime related to the situation in northern Syria, where the “Syrian Democratic Forces – Qasd militias”, that are the agents of the American occupation, withdrew from the borderline to inside the Syrian territories, but the Erdogan regime continued occupation of many cities, towns and villages there and from time to time, the bombing of populated areas.
Erdogan’s statements came hours after the head of the Turkish opposition Future Party, Ahmet Davutoglu, revealed the true intentions of the Turkish regime in Syria through a military plan that it intended to implement years ago, in order to control strategic cities in north and northwest Syria. Erdogan issued his statements on « Turkey’s policy towards Syria ”to Khabar Turk TV”, ascribing the failure of plan to the coup d’état officers who thwarted such moves, and who belong to the Fatehullah Gulen opposition group.
According to what was translated by the “Turkey in Arabic” website that supports terrorists, “Khabar Turk” website quoted Davutoglu as saying: “If the Gulen organization had not existed, we would have been different in Syria. The General Staff and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology knew that. There was a plan aimed at supporting the factions inside the country in order to control a line that starts from southern Aleppo towards Homs, Lattakia and Tartous. If this had been achieved at that time, it would have been different today because the Free Syrian Army’s experiment in forming a protectorate in Aleppo was successful then. At that time, the Free Syrian Army had to be fortified, and if this had been achieved, we would have been able to get rid of the risk that Russia is taking us to,” he continued, “without the coup officers at the time, we would have performed the prayer in the Umayyad Mosque in just 6 days.”
