Armenian PM: Turkish regime ventures to commit a new genocide against Armenian people

Yerevan (ST): Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan affirmed that the Turkish regime was taking a new track on the path of the genocide to the Armenian people.

Interviewed by the French Le Figaro newspaper Pashinyan said that his country has evidence that testifies to the Turkish regime’s involvement in aggravating the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh region noting that Turkey sent thousands of mercenaries to the region and some Turkish army officers are leading the attack in Azerbaijan.

Pashinyan said that the situation is more dangerous than the clashes that took place in 2015 and 2016, pointing out that the situation now can be compared to what happened in 1915 when more than 1.5 million were killed.

He added that Turkey continues to deny the past and is rash enough to commit another genocide calling on the international community to halt the Turkish intervention in the current conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan
