Czech MP calls for imposing sanctions on Erdogan’s regime

Prague (ST): Deputy Speaker of the Czech House of Representatives Tombo Okamora has called on the Czech government to work, through the EU, to impose sanctions on Erdogan’s regime, because of his aggressive policies in the region and his intervention in the recent escalation in Nagorno-Karabakh.

In a tweet he made today, Okamora said, “ The Turkish policy is truly responsible for the crisis between Armenia and Azerbaijan, so the Czech republic should impose sanctions on Turkey.”

He added that the Turkish regime was transporting mercenary terrorists from northern Syria to fight against Armenia, noting that the genocide committed by the Ottoman sultanate against the Armenians is still in memory.

Earlier, Okamora said in an interview that Erdogan has changed Turkey into a very aggressive state and he is perpetrating war crimes against Syria.
