EU warns Turkish regime of sanctions

Brussels (ST): The EU has warned the Turkish regime that it will face sanctions in case it continues its provocations in the eastern Mediterranean.

Reuters quoted president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen as saying in a press conference that the EU might impose sanctions on Ankara if it continues its provocative practices in the Eastern Mediterranean.

She demanded that Ankara abstain from taking unilateral measures stressing that the EU would use all possible options to halt the Turkish provocations.

The Turkish regime has been pressing ahead with its provocative acts against neighboring states in an attempt to implement its expansionist plans.
