Trump announces his infection with coronavirus

Washington (ST): US President Donald Trump has announced that he and his wife were infected with the Coronavirus a month ahead of the US presidential elections.

In a tweet he published today on his account, Trump said: “ I started the quarantine and I will overcome coronavirus,” noting that he decided to cancel an electoral rally scheduled to be held in Florida later today.

Earlier, Trump had announced the infection of one of his aides with the Coronavirus amid the escalation of electoral campaigns for the forthcoming presidential elections.

Observers said that throughout this announcement, Trump was trying to attain more votes from the US citizens.
