Paris (ST): The French Minister of State for European Affairs Clément Beaune has demanded that the European Union take decisive stands towards Turkey.
Reuters quoted Beaune as saying : ” There should be indications to adopt strict measures against Turkey and we will see if there will be sanctions.”
EU leaders are meeting today in Brussels to discuss tension in the east Mediterranean and relations with Turkey.
Last August 30, France held the Turkish regime responsible for the escalation of tension in the east of the Mediterranean through its provocative practices and it suspended its participation in a NATO maritime operation in the Mediterranean following differences with Turkey.
