The American occupation forces must leave Syria, Iran says

TEHRAN, (ST) – Iran has reiterated the need for the American occupation forces to leave Syria and stop supporting terrorism there and plundering the wealth of the Syrian people.

During a phone call today with the Japanese Special Coordinator for Syrian Affairs, Akira Ando, the senior assistant to the Iranian Foreign Minister in private political affairs, Ali AsgharKhaji, stressed the importance of a political solution to the crisis in Syria, supporting the Syrian-Syrian dialogue and preventing foreign interference in this dialogue.

The two sides called on the international community to send more humanitarian aid to Syria, in order to enhance the efforts of the Syrian state in facing the Corona pandemic.
