Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is the sixteenth Emir of the State of Kuwait

Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has taken in the constitutional oath as Emir of Kuwait, suc   ceeding the late Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah said after the swearing-in ceremony that “Kuwait is facing serious conditions and challenges that require uniting the ranks”. He pledged to work for the security, stability and prosperity of the country, Kuwait News Agency Cona reported.

It is to be mentioned that the Kuwaiti Cabinet announced yesterday the installation of Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as the sixteenth Emir of the State of Kuwait, to succeed Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who passed away.
