Ministry of Agriculture: Burned area in Misyaf & al-Ghab forests is estimated at 3000 hectares

 Damascus (ST): The Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform has estimated the areas burned in Misyaf and al-Ghab in Hama Governorate at more than 3000 hectares.

Director of afforestation at the Ministry Dr. Hassan Fares said that the committees in charge of determining the total burned area in the villages of Misyaf and al-Ghab have completed their work estimating the area at 3000 hectares.

He added that all legal measures have been taken against those who were behind the fires, calling on citizens and farmers to take all precautionary measures when they set fires to burn agricultural remains in their fields.
