Armenia announces the death of 30 of its soldiers and confirms the presence of Turkish military experts fighting alongside Azerbaijan

For his part, the Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vardan Tujanyan stressed that the situation around Karabakh requires swift intervention by the co-chairs of the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
On September 27, the Armenian Ministry of Defense confirmed that it had irrefutable evidence of the Turkish regime’s interference in the ongoing conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the Nagorno Karabakh region, indicating at the same time that it was investigating by sending the Erdogan regime mercenaries from northern Syria to inflame the situation there.
For its part, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced that 6 civilians were killed and 26 others were injured as a result of the military operations in Karabakh.
On September 28, the ministry said that its forces have taken control of several strategic heights near the village of Talish in the Karabakh region.
Response to a tank attack by the Azerbaijani army
In addition, the Armenian Ministry of Defense said that the Karabakh Republic forces repelled a tank attack launched by the Azerbaijani army in the region.
“ The Azerbaijani army launched a tank attack in the southeastern direction, but the Karabakh Defense Forces successfully repulsed it and destroyed 10 Azerbaijani armored vehicles,” Russia Today website quoted ministry spokeswoman Shushan Stepanian as saying on September 28.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyanconfirmed that his government would discuss the issue of recognizing the independence of Karabakh Republic, while the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, announced the imposition of martial law in the country with partial military mobilization.
For his part, Hikmat Hajiyev, assistant to the Azerbaijani President, considered the aggravation of the current situation in the Karabakh region as a “national war”.
In addition, Sergey Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, said that the escalation of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Karabakh can only be resolved politically and diplomatically.
“ The escalation of the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia is regrettable,” Naryshkin said in a press statement on September 28.
“Unfortunately, there are victims, and both sides are also using heavy weapons. We believe that this issue can only be resolved through political and diplomatic methods, and Russia is always striving for peace in every possible way,” Naryshkin added.
