HASAKA, (ST)- Locals in several villages in the countryside of Hasaka on Saturday took to the streets in protest against the crimes being committed by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) separatist militia and the US occupation forces against them.
According to local sources, the residents in Kashkash Jabbour and Jalal Sharqi villages and the nearby neighborhoods gathered at the main street of al- Shaddadi city in the southern countryside of Hasaka to condemn the crimes of the SDF militants who, supported by US occupation forces, have demolished the locals’ houses and razed and vandalized their agricultural lands.
The sources said that the protestors burned tires and closed several roads in the city of al-Shaddadi. They chanted anti-SDF and anti-US occupation slogans and demanded compensation for the damage caused to their houses and lands.
Over the past months, the SDF militia has demolished hundreds of houses in Syria’s al-Jazira region and displaced the residents in a bid to force them to be engaged in implementing the US agenda and aggressive scheme that aim at making a demographic change in this region and at stealing its resources.

In the meantime, a group of SDF militants stormed several houses in the villages of al-Sakkar, al-Watifa and Abu Jalal in the desert area of Markada in the south of Hasaka. The militants kidnapped a number of young men and took them to an unknown destination.
The aggressive act comes within the framework of the SDF militia’s continuous crimes against civilians in the Syrian al-Jazira region where it maintains heavy presence.
