SANAA, (ST)- More than 4576 Yemenis have been killed and wounded as a result of the Saudi-led coalition’s aggression on the Yemeni Taiz province since March, 2015, according to the Yemeni Human Rights Ministry’s Office in Taiz.
The Yemeni News Agency SABA, quoted a report by the ministry’s office, issued marking the passage of 2,000 days after Saudi-led aggression against Yemen, as saying that 2152 civilians have been martyred by the fire of the coalition and its mercenaries, including 474 children, 352 women and 1326 men. The report noted that the aggression also caused the injury of 2424 civilians, including 424 children 253 women, and 1747 men.
The report stated that the aggression destroyed 950 infrastructure facilities, 551 service facilities and 3893 economic facilities, while the number of civilian homes destroyed and damaged by the coalition’s bombardment has reached 95790.
In the infrastructure sector, the aggression destroyed Taiz International airport, two seaports, 239 government facilities, 34 power stations, 90 communications networks and stations, 58 tanks and water networks, 516 roads and bridges and 10 cemeteries, according to the report.
The report pointed out that the destroyed service facilities included 10 universities, 45 hospitals and health centers, 152 schools and institutes, 100 mosques, 14 sports facilities, 20 historical sites, six media facilities and 204 agricultural fields.
It showed that the destroyed and damaged economic facilities due to the aggression in the province included 55 factories, 96 commercial markets, 2167 commercial institutions, 33 tourist establishments, 450 food stores, 80 food trucks, 52 fuel stations, 41 fuel tankers, 780 means of transportation, 46 chicken and livestock farms and 93 fishing boats.
Last March, the Legal Center for Rights and Development in Yemen announced that the number of martyrs and injured people as a result of the Saudi regime’s aggression against Yemen, (that has been continuous since 2015), has reached more than 41,000.
