New York (ST): Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro has called on all peace-loving states in the world to confront the US unilateral measures being imposed on several states including Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua and Syria.
Reuteres quoted Maduro as saying in a speech directed at the UN General Assembly via video, that all unilateral coercive measures and sanctions should be halted, adding that the Venezuelan people should be allowed to practice their rights.
The US has been imposing unilateral coercive measures on the states that adhere to their sovereignty and reject subjugation to the US hegemony and diktat. Venezuela has been subjected to the US attempts to interfere in its internal affairs to destabilize the country and achieve colonialist objectives.
