Humanitarian Aid to Victims of Terrorist Groups in Raqqa

 

 

 

RAQQA,(ST)_ “Basic services and needs, particularly in the area of health and housing are ensured  for thousands  arrivals from other Syrian governorates  to Raqqa,  fleeing terrorist acts of the armed groups, ” said the governor of Raqqa, Hasan Jalali,  in his yesterday meeting with a delegation representing the UN Humanitarian Affairs organizations, currently visiting Raqqa.

 The governor  noted that because some of the displaced families are accommodated in schools,  many of Raqqa ‘s did not start the school year , noting that  large increase in the number of arrivals requires doubling  potential services  in the city.

 Chairman of the visiting delegation  Bin Parker  indicated that the mission of his  team is limited to  addressing the humanitarian needs of the displaced .

  The team is composed of representatives the World Health Organization (WHO),  World Food Program (FAO) , UNICEF and the United Nations Fund for Population (UNFPA) in collaboration with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
