9th Conference of Ministers of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Affirms Support for the Palestinian People to restore their rights  

Makkah, (ST) – The 9th Conference of Ministers of Awqaf (Endowments) and Islamic Affairs in the Islamic Countries, at the conclusion of its work in Makkah yesterday evening, affirmed the firm position on the just Palestinian cause, on granting the Palestinian people their legitimate rights and protecting them from brutal attacks and on stopping the genocide and aggression on Gaza and all the Palestinian people.

The conference affirmed in its closing statement the right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital and to restore all their legitimate rights to achieve just and lasting peace.

The conference also called on the international community and all official and civil charitable, humanitarian and relief organizations to support the Palestinian people and stand with them in their ordeal and end their suffering.

The conference recommended strengthening the call for the approach of moderation and balance, correcting the understanding of religious discourse and combating extremism and radicalism.

The conference called for increasing coordination and cooperation, exchanging visits, expertise and experiences between member states of the conference in the field of Islamic affairs. It called also for strengthening relations with Islamic bodies, institutions and centers.

The conference also stressed the need for cooperation between member states and the exchange of experiences in the field of endowments and activating their role in achieving sustainable development.
