94% of COVID-19 patients in China have recovered

BEIJING, (ST)-  China has announced that 94% of the novel coronavirus infected people in the country have recovered.

Xinhua News Agency quoted the Chinese National Health Commission as saying that ” the number of confirmed infections in China has reached 81,639, of  which 76,751 have been cured and have left hospitals, representing 94% of the total number of infected cases.

180 covid-19 patients have recovered over the past 24 hours, the health commission added, pointing out that the death toll from coronavirus has reached 3326.

The commission went on to say that four COVID-19 patients died and 19 new cases were reported in China Mainland on Friday, noting that 18 of these cases came from abroad.
