Ankara (ST): The Turkish newspaper, Zaman, revealed that 872 members of the party of the head of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, announced their resignations during the past week, including the head of the women’s branch in the region, Emil Oz Akmazlar.
The newspaper pointed out that “the reasons for the resignation of the members are their rejection of the way the Justice and Development Party is run, in addition to being subjected to harassment.”
The newspaper also pointed out that there are many serious disturbances within the party in the city of Aiden, expecting more resignations in the coming days.
An opinion poll conducted by Metropol at the end of last year on the upcoming elections in Turkey showed the continued decline of the coalition, which includes the ruling Justice and Development Party, in front of the Turkish opposition coalition.
