870 food baskets distributed among citizens in Lattakia within a week

LATTAKIA, Apr.26, (ST)-The Relief Office of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Lattakia Province has distributed 870 food baskets within a week, according to the state-run Al-Thawra e-newspaper.

The baskets were distributed by several organizations as follows: 500 ones in Al-Sheikh Daher area by the iHH organization, 320 ones by “Banafsaj” organization in Al-Tabiyat area, and 50 ones in the village of Al-Shalfatiyah in Lattakia countryside.

Families were counted in the neighborhoods of Al-Raml Al-Janoubi, Sakanturi, and Ain Al-Tamri in Lattakia city, and in the towns of Salib Al-Turkman and Burj Salam. While, a numbering and census project was launched in the Ain Umm Ibrahim neighborhood of the city.
