87 Syrian teams compete in the World Robot Olympiad

87 Syrian teams from different Syrian governorates will participate on Thursday (August 22) in the national championship of the World Robot Olympiad which is organized by the Distinction and Creativity Agency (DCA) under the title of the “Smart Cities” at Al-Faihaa Sport Stadium in Damascus.

According to a statement issued by DCA, the 3-day championship will include five competitions covering the age groups from elementary(7 to 13 years-old) to the intermediate (13 to 15 years-old) to the high ones (16 to 19 years-old).

The participating teams will represent the Robot Clubs from the governmentaland private universities, educational establishments, non-governmental organizations (NGO), and the training specialized centers.

The first-place winner in each age group will be qualified for the World Championship scheduled to be held in Hungary next November.
