8,306 Palestinians martyred, 21,048 wounded since the beginning of the Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip
The number of the victims of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip for the twenty-fourth day has risen to 8,306 martyrs, in addition to 21,048 wounded.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement today: The number of victims of the ongoing aggression since October 7 has risen to 8,306 martyrs, including 3,457 children, 2,136 women, and 480 elderly people, in addition to 21,048 wounded.
The Ministry explained that the occupation committed 27 massacres during the past hours, claiming the lives of 304 martyrs, the majority of whom were displaced to the southern regions of Gaza Strip, which raises the number of massacres committed by the occupation against Palestinian families to 908 massacres since the beginning of the aggression.
The Ministry pointed out that 124 health personnel were martyred, and 25 ambulances were destroyed. In addition, 25 hospitals and medical centers as well as 19 primary care centers went out of service due to bombing and fuel exhaustion, the ministry added, indicating that the occupation repeated its threats to Al-Quds Hospital affiliated to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, and intensively targeted its surroundings.
The Ministry warned of a major health and environmental catastrophe in Gaza Strip, and of the spread of epidemics and skin and infectious diseases among the displaced due to water scarcity.
The Ministry called on the international community to activate international humanitarian law and the Fourth Geneva Convention to protect institutions, medical teams, ambulances, and displaced people, and to take urgent action to open the Rafah crossing and bring in fuel, medicines, and basic humanitarian supplies.
