80 productive families participate in “ With Our Hands” Bazaar

With the participation of 80 productive families, the regional office for productive families and the handicraft and traditional industries in Syria held last Thursday a Bazaar  under the title “With Our Hands” at Damaskino Mall in Damascus.

The bazaar, which will last until the 2nd  of December, showcases handmade works made by the participating families at their houses or in small workshops.

The works include crochet, woolen textiles, accessories, candles, clothes, paintings, painting on glass ,food and sweets.

Omar Al-Miqdad, the media official of the Regional Office for Productive Families, told the “Syriatimes” e-newspaper that the bazaar aims at supporting productive families and helping them promote their products and acquaint people with their works.

“Through this event, we try to send a message to the productive families that this place is ready to display your works.”Al- Miqdad added.

Rana Qnawati, a participant in the Bazaar  and the supervisor of  “Noon Group”, displays  with her group embroideries crochet, and natural food products, candles, glass, and others.

Qanawati and her group seek to acquaint visitors with their products and market them. She sees that this event is a good place to market the “Noon groups products”.

Sana, another participant, displays oil painting, and painting on glass. She also wants to make people familiar with her handmade paintings.

There are also recycling textiles as table covers, bags, rugs etc, that are being displayed by participant Worood.
