8 new breaches of cessation of hostilities observed in Damascus and Lattakia countryside

Lattakia –The Hmeimim-based Russian Coordination Center monitoring the agreement said in a statement that terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Islam” breached the agreement six times in Damascus countryside, while the other two breaches were committed by terrorists of the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham” and the “Free Army” in Lattakia province, SANA reported.

10 new villages in Homs province and 4 others in Lattakia joined the cessation of hostilities over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of towns and areas that are part of the agreement to 504, according to the center.

The center added that ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists continue their attempts to undermine the agreement as they targeted with rocket and mortar shells al-Ansari, al-Khaldiyeh, al-Lairamoun and al-Zahra neighborhoods and the Leather Factory, and the Castello commercial center in Aleppo province, in addition to targeting a number of towns in Damascus countryside and a number of neighborhoods in Daraa province.

The cessation of hostilities agreement doesn’t include ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra or other groups designated as terrorist organizations by the UN Security Council.
