8 civilians martyred and others wounded in mutual shelling between Turkish occupation and SDF militia in Afrin

Eight civilians were martyred and about 20 others were wounded in Afrin area in the northern countryside of Aleppo as a result of mutual shelling between the Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries from terrorist organizations on the one hand, and the SDF militiamen linked to the American occupation on the other.

Local sources and identical media reports stated that an exchange of rocket and heavy artillery shelling began on Saturday afternoon between the Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries on one side and the “SDF” militia on the other. Several rocket and artillery shells fell in various residential areas in Afrin city and the surrounding villages, which killed  eight civilians and injured  about 20 others. Material damage was also caused to residents’ and public properties.

 

The sources referred to an increase in the number of martyrs and wounded as a result of the severe injuries among the injured due to the continuation of the mutual shelling, which also led to the displacement of a number of families from their homes near the bombing areas.

The sources pointed out that a number of SDF militiamen and a number of mercenaries of the Turkish occupation were killed in the mutual shelling.
