75 Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails to go on hunger strike in solidarity with two striking prisoners
Some 75 Palestinian freedom fighters detained in the Israeli occupation jails for their resistance of the occupation announced that they will start tomorrow an open-ended hunger strike in solidarity with the two striking administrative detainees Khalil Awawda and Raed Rayyan, Spokesman for the Prisoners Affairs Commission Hasan Abed Rabbo told WAFA news agency.
Rayyan, 28, has been on hunger strike for 108 days demanding an end to his illegal administrative detention, and Awawda, 40, has been on hunger strike for 22 days after he resumed it following 111 days of fast when he suspended it in light of an Israeli promise to release him, which the occupation broke later.
Abed Rabbo clarified that Rayyan and Awawda are both suffering from dangerous deterioration in their health condition due to the deliberate medical negligence of the Israeli occupation authorities, urging the international community to pressure the occupation and end the suffering of all the Palestinian prisoners by releasing them from the Israeli jails.
