725 facilities put into service in the “Al-Sheikh Najjar “ industrial city in Aleppo

ALEPPO, (ST) The process of production in Al-Sheijh Najjar city in Aleppo province has witnessed remarkable growth as the number of industrial facilities that have been put into service reached 725, while there are preparations to put 200 new facilities into service. 
 
This growth of production reflects government’s support for attracting investments in the city, according to a report published by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA). 
 
The agency quoted the Director of the “Al-Sheikh Najjar “ industrial city Hazem Ajjan as saying that the value of investment hit 35 billion Syrian pounds. 
 
He pointed out that the government works on supporting the facilities by all possible means, adding that 33 MW photovoltaic power station will be put partially into service in 2022 to feed the city.
 
One of the facilities that produces low tension cables was founded in 1990 and it was destroyed by terrorism, but  now it resumed production as it was rehabilitated after the Syrian army had recaptured the city. 
 
The owner of the facility Hazem Qassar said that the production of the cables of cell phones, cameras, screens and DVR recorders contributes to meeting the need of local market and it will be exported to Arab countries in the future. 
 
In July, 2014, the Syrian army recaptured the city if Al-Sheikh Najjar, which is located in the north of Aleppo.
