A number of charities and civil society associations in the Syrian city of Raqqa on Saturday distributed around 700 food baskets as well as financial aid on needy families in the liberated countryside of Raqqa.
The distribution process was implemented under the supervision of the Directorate of Labor and Social Affairs in Raqqa.
Director of Labor and Social Affairs in Raqqa Ahmad Al-Mushed said in a statement to SANA that a work plan was put to provide material and financial assistance to the needy families in coordination with some charities, civil society parties and social initiatives.
He added that priority during the month of Ramadan was given to the poorest families and to families of the martyrs the wounded and the persons with disability.
