With the participation of 70 commercial and economic companies from different governorates, the activities of the Hama Shopping Festival were launched in the archaeological Khan RustamPasha in Hama Governorate. The festival is organized by the Chambers of Industry and Commerce in cooperation with the Governorate General Secretariat under the title “Tomorrow is better.”

The festival, which started on Wednesday evening and will continue until the 6th of next October, aims to revitalize the commercial movement in Hama, and to highlight the most prominent national products through the public and private sectors offered, including foodstuffs, carpets, oils, chemical industries and rural women’s products.

Head of Hama Chamber of Industry Ziyad Arabo told SANA reporter that the festival comes within the directions to hold shopping festivals to support the consumer under the current circumstances. It constitutes an appropriate opportunity to present the products of the participating companies to the consumer directly, ensuring that prices are lower than the market by a percentage ranging between 20 and 25 percent. He highlighted the efforts made by the sponsors and organizers of the festival to make it a success, which would have a positive impact on consumers.

Director of the shoe factory in the city of Masyaf, Engineer Nermin Zawda, indicated that the participation in the festival stems from the public sector’s keenness to be present in events that support the purchasing power of citizens, as the factory’s various products of shoes were presented with high quality and competitive prices.

General Manager of the Wool and Carpet Company, Engineer Hisham Al-Abdullah, notedthat the company offered, through its pavilion, a wide variety of woolen carpets at studied prices, with the aim of supporting the national industry. Director of the Syrian Branch of Trade, Engineer Haider Al-Youssef, stated that quantities of direct sugar were put up for sale under the e-card for visitors to the festival without the need to wait for the text message.

Supervisor of the Safa Tissue Company, Hassan Jabali, indicated that the festival is a positive initiative through which we can introduce our products and sell them to consumers directly and know their needs. Asaad Hassan, the agent of a food company, said that consumer support has become a necessity in the current circumstances, so we were present at this festival and offered good discounts. Agents of the detergent companies, Ghiath Abdel-Baqi and YassinHadarya, indicated that free gifts and offers were provided to the participants, in addition to presenting the new products and introducing their features.
