65 associations, institutions and initiatives in Sweida participate in supporting relief work and providing aid to those affected by the earthquake

The civil society, including associations and institutions in Sweida governorate, continues its efforts to support relief work and provide assistance to those affected by the earthquake. 65 associations, institutions and initiatives accredited by the Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in the governorate participate in these efforts.
The Director of Social Affairs and Labor in Sweida, Eng. Samer Bahsas, explained that these accredited bodies are collecting in-kind donations, the amount of which has so reached more than 10 tons of foodstuffs, infant formula, clothes and blankets, in addition to sums of money worth more than 40 million Syrian pounds and presenting them either directly to the relief sub-committee or indirectly through public donations made in each district and sent to the committee.
Bahsas pointed to the continuous efforts of the associations and initiatives that covered all areas of Sweida governorate and that reflected the state of community solidarity with the people in the affected governorates.
