Syrian women sport teams will participate in the seventh edition of the 2024 the Arab Women Sport Tournament, whose activities will begin next February in Sharjah with 6 sports teams in basketball, volleyball, karate, table tennis, athletics, and fencing.
The participation of Syrian women teams in the largest women’s tournament in the Arab world comes after the honorable achievements of Syrian girls who won the title of the Fourth West Asian Federation Football Championship 2023 in Jordan and the crowning of the women’s football team with the title of the Second in West Asian Federation Football U14 girls Championship
2023, which was hosted by Jordan.
The 7th edition of Arab Women Sports Tournament will start on the second of next February, with the participation of 63 teams and 560 players from 15 Arab countries, whose competitions will be hosted by 8 sports facilities distributed throughout the Emirate of Sharjah.
Athletics are at the top of the number of participations at team level, with 12 teams, followed by volleyball with 9 teams, then basketball and karate with 8 teams, and table tennis with 7 teams, while 6 teams compete in bow and arrow and fencing, and archery finally comes among the games with 5 teams. The Supreme Organizing Committee for the seventh edition of the session set the date for the technical meetings on February 1 for the competitions.
