59498 candidates will compete for 19086 seats in Syria’s local councils’ elections

Local administration councils’ elections are due to kick off tomorrow morning in all the Syrian provinces. 7348 election centers have been allocated for this process.

59498 candidates will compete for 19086 seats in the administrative units.

On Friday, Head of the Supreme Judicial Committee for Elections Jihad Murad announced that Saturday will be the pre-election silence day.

Syria has 1470 administrative units in 14 governorates, 158 cities, 572 towns and 726 municipalities.
