55 local and international companies exchange ideas and experiences in “Syrpetro2023”

Some 55 local and international companies that specialize in oil industries participated in the 4th Syrian Petroleum, Gas and Energy Exhibition “ Syrpetro2023”, which concluded on the 10th of July at Fairground in Damascus.

The four-day event was described as an important opportunity for the participating companies to share and exchange ideas on oil industries.

Eng. Osama Melqi from the “Amazon” company, whose main headquarters is in Britain and has many branches all over the world, told Syria Times e-newspaper that his company took part in the exhibition for the first time.

“Our company specializes in manufacturing all types of oils and additives for engines, turbines, hydraulic compressors, industrial gears, electrical transformers, and marine oils… We are participating in this event to have an idea about the opportunities of entering the Syrian market and the requirements for that. We also want to have an idea about the new technologies at international level to benefit from them in future projects and develop the company’s work mechanisms,” he said.

For his part, the director of the Abdulkarim Group, Mazen Kneinah, told us that participation in exhibitions is important as it is an added value for the company and contributes to meeting new companies, especially foreign ones, to see what is new and open new windows for export to Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt.

He clarified that the Group is specialized in producing all types of mineral and industrial oils and mineral lubricants, including gasoline, diesel engine oils, gearbox oils, hydraulic oils, and industrial oils, as well as drilling tools and oilfield’s equipment.

“ The factories of the Group produce oils for all factories in the industrial sectors, such as cement, iron and food factories, in addition to oils for all engines and meet the needs of all public and private sectors of various types of oils. We are currently working on obtaining the ISO quality certificate for the laboratories, so that the laboratory has an international recognition, which helps in the continuity of controlling the company’s products to conform to national and international specifications,” Kneinah added.

It is noteworthy that the AbdulKarim Group was founded in Syria in 1982 and opened its laboratories with a license and supervision from the German company Fuchs. It owns modern chemical laboratory systems and well-qualified engineers to supervise its products.

Sales Manager of the Al-Bader Establishment Habib Lahham said that “the establishment is keen on participating in the exhibition as a major sponsor to keep pace with global developments in this field as the event is a space for exchanging experiences, visions and ideas with the participating companies and offering their services”.

“Our establishment is specialized in producing and marketing mineral oils. It was founded in 1990, and started its industrial work in 2003 under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry after scientific preparations and international studies to establish its factory for the production of mineral oils with the most important and latest equipment and advanced devices that keep pace with modern technology and still to this day provide high- quality products and services. to all customers adopting the motto ‘Quality in every drop’,” Lahham added.

He expressed his hope that the “SyrPetro 2023” exhibition will achieve its goals in serving the homeland.
