517 breaches of cessation of hostilities, 100 terrorist arrive from Turkey to northern Aleppo

Lattakia – The Russian Coordination Center said that terrorist organizations breached the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria 9 times in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of breaches to 517 since last February, SANA reported.

The cessation of hostilities agreement, which came into effect on 27 February, does not include Jabhat al-Nusra, ISIS and other groups listed by the UN as terrorist organizations.

 The Russian coordination center, based in Hemeimim airbase, said in a statement on Wednesday that militants of the so called “Sultan Murad brigade” shelled al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo with rocket launchers and machineguns 3 times , leaving 8 civilians killed, while the so called “Jaish al-Islam” shelled al-Zahraa neighborhood in the western outskirts of Aleppo with mortar rounds.

The center detailed that terrorists of the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham” fired mortar shells on military positions in the vicinity of Abu Rishe village in northern Lattakia, adding that terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Islam” fired mortar rounds at military posts in the surroundings of Harasta town in the countryside of Damascus.

Local sources in Aleppo countryside confirmed the arrival of around 100 terrorist of Jabhat al-Nusra from Turkey to Kafar Hamra village in the northern countryside of Aleppo, the Russian center said, adding that a number of trucks loaded with local hand-made military ammunition containing Chlorine gas coming from Idleb arrived at the northern Aleppo countryside areas during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra continue their attacks against Syrian military positions in the surroundings of Aleppo city, the Russian center mentioned, adding that those terrorists fired al-Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood with rocket launchers 3 times during the past 24 hours, leaving 6 civilians injured including a child the center said.

It pointed out that al-Nusra terrorists shelled Handarat Refugee Camp in the northern Aleppo countryside with mortar and artillery rounds 5 times.
