506 breaches of cessation of hostilities agreement, 97 towns join the agreement

Lattakia – Russian coordination center said that terrorist organizations breached cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria 5 times in the last 24 hours, to raise the total number of breaches to 506 since last February, SANA reported.

The cessation of hostilities agreement, which came into effect on 27 February, does not include Jabhat al-Nusra, ISIS terrorist organizations and other groups listed by the UN as terrorist organizations.

 

The center, based in Hemeimim airbase, said in a statement on Monday, that 3 breaches were observed in Damascus and two in Hama, pointing out that terrorists of the so called “Jaish al-Islam” shelled 3 times military posts in Damascus, while the so called “Ahrar al-Sham” shelled military positions in the two villages of Latmeen and al-Zakat in Hama countryside with mortar rounds.

On the other hand, the Russian center indicated that the towns that have joined the cessation of hostilities agreement reached 97, while the number of armed groups which joined the agreement remained at 52.

The Russian coordination center pointed out that “70 terrorists together with three ammunition-loaded vehicles, coming from Turkey, arrived in Anadan village to join Jabhat al-Nusra”.

Terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra continued their aggression against military positions in Aleppo vicinity to foil the truce and targeted al-Sheikh Maqsoud, al-Amerya neighborhoods, al-Nayrab military airport and Handarat refugees camp in Aleppo and its countryside by man-made artillery systems and with mortar rounds.
