Member of the Damascus and Damascus countryside Chamber of Agriculture and head of the Chamber’s Nurseries Committee Hassan Haliwa, has affirmed that preparations for participation in the Flower Show, which will open next Wednesday, are progressing at a rapid pace.
He indicated that the Chamber, in partnership with the Tourism Directorate, worked to select the pavilions in coordination with the Union of Chambers of Agriculture and directed the Central Committee for Nurseries to choose distinguished nurseries in the governorates to have priority in participation.
He explained that each participant was placed in the indoor and outdoor pavilions according to the type of his agriculture production whether houseplants or outdoor plants.
He pointed out that the Chamber also participates through the bee committee in the exhibition, and 20 beekeepers and honey producers were selected to participate in the event.
He noted that the exhibition includes about 100 participants, 50 of whom are nurseries owners, in addition to the participation of 4 sisterly countries, namely Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman, noting the presence of participants from the governorates.
He pointed out that this session of the flower exhibition differs from previous ones in the presence of pavilions for ornamental plants that live inside homes, and there are pavilions for plants that live in nature. He also noted that visitors will be able to enter and move inside the wings up close and not from far to learn about the types of plants, He indicated that the prices are well studied and not high, hoping that the exhibition will achieve positive results at all levels.
