50 Ladies participate in the “Milda” Bazaar of the Junior Chamber International in Homs

Fifty ladies of different ages participated in the “Milda” Bazaar, which was held by the Junior Chamber International in Homs as a result of the “Milda” project, which lasted for three months, during which the participants learned various skills and crafts.

The President of the Junior Chamber International in Homs Dana Al-Agha said to SANA reporter: “The closing bazaar of the Milda project was held in cooperation with the “Wa’i” (Awareness) Foundation within the scope of business and entrepreneurship, and displayed women’s businesses within the project in the Al-Hamidiyah neighborhood at the “Jesuit Fathers Monastery.”

She added: “Milda” is one of the projects aimed at sheddin light on women in Homs, who are capable, empowered, passionate warriors who were able to turn their societal challenges into an opportunity for success.

She indicated that the Junior Chamber International in Homs met with the Awareness Foundation to launch this project, which included vocational training such as wax and soap manufacturing, sewing, fashion design, and others, and the beneficiaries were provided with training on marketing and managing economic projects.

Diaa Al-Sibai, Vice President of the Business Sector at the Junior Chamber International in Homs, explained that the Milda Bazaar targeted women to provide them with a new profession through which they can support their families and achieve additional income.

Hala Al-Sharaidi, director of the project’s closing ceremony, confirmed that the project was able to meet several needs of the trainees, including that they possess a craft in several fields with the aim of helping them start their own projects.

Elza Nasra, Middle East Coordinator for the Awareness Foundation, explained that they are a non-profit organization that targets young people with a set of training courses to enable them to be active in society, stressing that the presence of the organization in the Milda project for women was aimed at supporting them to become active and productive people.
