Damascus- The exhibition of Laboratory Equipment, Production and Sale of Production Lines “PRODEX 2018” was opened here on Wednesday by the Seven Gates for organizing Exhibitions and Conferences affiliated to the Jasmine Group in cooperation with the Syrian-Chinese Business Council. Some 50 national and foreign companies participate in the four-day event.
Syrian, Arab and foreign companies are displaying specialized machines for construction and accessories, textile, plastic, food, packaging, printing, glass, accessories, thermal ovens, electric generators,products for laboratory services and modern systems and agricultural equipment, as well as exchange companies, quality control, qualification and shipping.
During the opening ceremony, the Minister of Industry told reporters that the exhibition comes to identify the companies that are concerned with the field of equipment and production lines in order to restore industrial life in Syria quickly and in a short time, adding that there are many factories that restored the production process and these factories need industrial tools and production lines.
The head of the Syrian-Chinese Business Council, Mohammad Hamsho, pointed to the importance of the economic openness that Syria is experiencing, where the Syrian-Chinese Business Council has worked to develop trade between Syria and China, stressing that most of the participating companies are concerned with the development of factories and industry damaged during the crisis.
For his part, the Chinese Ambassador, Chi Qianjin, confirmed that the exhibition is an obvious indication of the improvement of the situation in Syria in various areas, pointing to the presence of many Syrian industrial products which encourage China to promote and develop cooperation between the two countries, especially in the economic and industrial domains.
The General Director of Jassemin Group, Tariq Massah, said that the exhibition is an “opportunity for various countries, that will participate in the reconstruction during the next phase” after Syria’s recovery from terrorism, to know the investment climate in Syria, indicating that these companies will contribute to production lines in order to make room for new investments of various sizes.
The opening ceremony was attended by Assistant Minister of Industry, Dr. Nidal Fallouh and a number of directors of public, private industrial and private enterprises and businessmen from various areas.
