50 companies participate in a new session of the Good Deeds Festival in Damascus

Damascus (ST): The activities of the 12th session of the (Good Deeds) festival, organized by a group of businessmen and women in cooperation with Damascus Governorate, started in Al-Mowasat Square in the Mezzeh area with the participation of more than 50 companies in the fields of food, clothing, detergents, electrical equipment and carpets. The festival director, Dr. Nisreen Nahas, said in a press statement that the initiative aims to break the mediation cycles, find markets for direct sales of the product to the consumer, and reduce prices between 20 and 50 percent, with multiple offers and gifts from the participants, appreciating the support of the Damascus Governorate, the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection and the facilities provided for the establishment of the festival including the ability to sell subsidized materials directly to citizens.

Member of the Executive Office of the Supply Sector in Damascus Governorate, Shadi Sukkarieh, indicated that the governorate provided logistical equipment and facilities to hold the festival as part of its encouragement for such initiatives that contribute to lowering prices.
