50 Arab and foreign companies participate in “Syria Plast 2023” exhibition

With the participation of about 50 Syrian, Arab and foreign companies, the activities of the Syrian International Exhibition for Plastic Industries “Syria Plast 2023” kicked off Wednesday evening on Fairgrounds in Damascus, and it will last for four days.

In a statement to reporters, Minister of Industry, Dr. Abdelkader Jokhadar, noted that the exhibition constitutes an opportunity for all industrialists, and all participating local, Arab and foreign companies to exchange experiences and find opportunities for industrial investment, whether in the public or private sectors.

Minister Jokhadar underlined the importance of developing clear plans and strategies to prove the strong presence of the Syrian industry and its competition in global markets, and to encourage all investors to participate in revitalizing the industrial sector.

For his part, Governor of Damascus, Engineer Muhammad Tariq Krishati, pointed out that what distinguishes the exhibition is the participation of a group of brotherly and friendly Arab countries, which encourages the activation of trade exchange of industrial products in addition to the participation of owners of small and medium enterprises. He highlighted the importance of supporting these projects in terms of securing production supplies and raw materials and marketing of products.

Iranian Deputy Oil Minister, Engineer Morteza Shahmirzai, noted the great development witnessed by the Syrian industry in recent years, reaffirming his country’s readiness to provide full support to the Syrian industry and Syrian industrialists, and to work with them in implementing projects, providing working force and benefiting from the expertise of scientists in order to restore the brilliance of the Syrian industry, which was damaged by terrorism.

For his part, Head of the Iraqi delegation, representative of the head of Baghdad Chamber of Commerce, Alaa Al-Nouri, stated that their participation in the exhibition is to increase industrial and commercial cooperation and to support the Syrian products which are desired in many countries, which contributes to developing economic relations and improving the economic situation in Syria, especially after the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army on terrorism.

Director of the organizing group of the exhibition, Khalaf Mashhadani, pointed to the diversity of the plastic products showcased in the exhibition, appreciating the external participations that had an important role in enriching the exhibition with products and services that support the Syrian industry and industrialists.

The assistant minister of industry, presidents of the Syrian Chambers of Industry and Commerce, directors of a number of industrial public institutions and companies, a number of central directors in the Ministry of Industry, representatives of the chambers, a group  of businessmen, and a number of diplomats from accredited embassies in Damascus participated in the launch of the exhibition.
