50 Arab and foreign companies participate in “Servex 2024” Forum in Damascus

Damascus, (ST) – With the participation of 50 companies from Arab and foreign countries specialize in business services, investment and economic activities, the activities of the 9th International Businessmen and Businesswomen and Service Companies Forum “Servex 2024” kicked off  yesterday evening at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus under the title “We Meet to Advance”.

Damascus Governor Mohammad Tariq Krishati stressed during a press conference following the opening that the forum constitutes an opportunity to provide the services that investors and businessmen need to start projects and contributes to enhancing communication with foreign companies as well as commercial and industrial delegations and to exchanging experiences, information and opportunities.

He indicated the importance of the forum for what it contains of technology in marketing and management sciences and implementation experiences in all sectors and services for adopting and developing ideas and transforming them into a product offered in the markets.

Director of the General Establishment for Exhibitions and Foreign Markets Halim Al-Akhras considered that the forum is a great opportunity to exchange expertise and knowledge on related specializations within the framework of preparing for the establishment of commercial activities between countries. He pointed out that the role of the General Establishment for Exhibitions lies in facilitating the granting of approvals to hold exhibitions, particularly specialized ones, due to their direct positive impact.

Khalaf Mashhadani, Director of the Mashhadani International Exhibitions and Conferences Group, which organizes the forum, stressed to SANA the importance of the forum as a platform for a number of companies that provide intellectual products.

He added the visitor finds services that contribute to adopting and developing his ideas and turning them into a product to be introduced to the market, through dialogue platforms that have been prepared for this purpose.

Mashhadani pointed out that companies from Iraq, the Sultanate of Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Russia are participating in the forum alongside local companies.

For his part, the advisor of the International Federation of Businessmen and Businesswomen Hazem Haddad indicated that the Federation looks forward through the forum to establishing strategic relations based on credibility and quality, and believes that success comes through teamwork within a specialized and professional team to serve customers in the best possible way.

In turn, the Director General of the Syrian-Jordanian Joint Free Zone, Irfan Al-Khasawneh clarified that the goal of their participation in the forum is to shed light on the work of the free zone and the advantages it offers through its strategic geographical location, in addition to the presence of two gates in the Syrian-Jordanian Free Zone, which contribute to enhancing trade movement between the two countries.

The opening of the forum was attended by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Saudi Embassy in Damascus Abdullah Al-Haresi, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in Syria Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Hassan, the Economic Attaché at the Iranian Embassy in Damascus Saeed Nazari, the Director of the Syrian Investment Authority Nada Laiqa, and a number of industrialists, traders, and concerned personalities.

The forum will continue until the 7th of August and will open its doors to visitors daily from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
